Hi friends! I am busy stitching Valentine pieces. This is ๐The yearly anniversary freebie from Cathy of Hands On Design ๐
I stitched this one over one on 35ct WDW red pear linen with the called for DMC. Trimmed with VMSS rick rack. The poodle fabric is from my stash.๐ฉ I showed the finish to Brian. Brian asked me, Wait? You love me, or you love poodles? I said, Both?๐
๐Valentine Freebie by L'AghinodiChicca.blogspot.it๐
I put my own little twist on this pattern with the finish, since I had this ๐️ in my stash. The birch ๐ค was in my stash also. It is from JoAnn. I used DMC 612 and VMSS Valentine Red, stitched one over two on antique white 40ct linen. This is now hanging on my ๐tall sewing cabinet.๐.
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10
The weather is still frigid here with minus temperatures every night. ๐ฅถ Snow is coming once again too. Blech.
I hope you have a very good weekend my friends. Stay safe.
Stitching and praying,
Vickie
Your valentines stitch is so cute. And your second finish - just beautiful to fall in love with. Both very well done.
ReplyDeleteI hope the cold will be over soon, I don't like it.
Martina

ReplyDeleteBoth Valentine stitching are wonderful.

Very cute finishes.
ReplyDeleteI am working on the HOD freebie also.
Gotta love that Poodle fabric!
Stay well & warm.
Marilyn
Both of your Valentine finishes are precious, Vickie. We are having a mixed bag here weather-wise -- rain, snow, sleet, ice. Stay warm and be safe if you have to go out.
ReplyDeleteCute Anniversary piece. The heart and key is very creative!
ReplyDeleteVickie, Love your version of the HOD freebie...the colors and poodle fabric are precious together. I love your LOVE with the heart and key!! I hope your going to keep it out on your sewing cabinet year round. Well, have you read The Stand by Stephen King? I thought that was a great book but not sure I want to read about such a virulent virus right now!!
ReplyDeleteBrian is too funny! :)
ReplyDeleteBrian shouldn't make you choose like that LOL
ReplyDeleteLove both your sweet finishes. The key is a great touch.
Cute stitching finishes:-)
ReplyDeleteI went in search of the book and it does sound very interesting, I watched a programme a few weeks ago about the Spanish Flu, it was made pre Covid but it was fascinating how similar everything was.
More sweet finishes, good call on your response to Brian!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the way you finished LOVE on the key, it's perfect.
Oh my, that book sounds scary in a real sense of the word. I added that one too.
We're getting stuff tomorrow too, snow/sleet/rain/whatever. Stay warm!
Hi Vickie, I am stitching Cathy's desgin, too - your finish is so very pretty. I will check out your other one, too. I read Station Eleven last year and really enjoyed it (despite its parallels with our world). Have you read Stephen King's The Stand?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Valentine stitching, Vickie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day.
Vickie: Happy Valentines day, both are such sweet designs and finishing is perfect, I love the key.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Both are so cute, Vickie! I really love the key and the birch heart for finishing materials, too. It's been SO long since I've been in a store to just shop/browse for finishing materials. Well--it's been a year, actually! I'm so excited that I'll be able to go to Joann's and Michael's and Goodwill next month :)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day! ♥
