Hi friends! Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post. I have a special request of you. Would you please pray for our son Jacob? He has contracted COVID. He is not certain if he got it from his nursing work at Children's Hospital. He could have gotten it anywhere even though he wears a mask. Wisconsin is so very unsafe. Jacob has asthma. His new wife Kristen has tested negative. Thank you my friends. I appreciate this loving community.
❄️๐ฆDecember Cubby Shelf Display❄️๐ฆ These are all stitched over one.
This is my favorite piece on display this month.
It was a free pattern from 2008 from Chez Mamigoz. I got rid of the people and put in my own dear poodles. ๐คญ๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐ฉ Mr. Murphy and Miss Mabel are no longer with us, but you can see Little Henry on the sled❣️๐ท

This was stitched two over two on 32ct linen with DMC and VMSS. I changed the words to read First Christmas for the newlyweds.๐ This will be delivered on December 6th, St. Nicholas Day, in Jacob's stocking. We will be keeping very safe, I will just leave the stocking on the front porch, but Mom delivers.๐
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!” —Romans 11:33
PLEASE STAY SAFE MY FRIENDS! So many people are not taking COVID seriously. So many think the rules are too strict or do not apply to them. They are not. Follow the the guidelines. They are there TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. OR MAYBE YOUR SON'S.
Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Oh Vickie, so sorry to hear about Jacob. Prayers for a quick recovery and that it goes no further.
ReplyDeleteYour ornament for him and his wife is so sweet. Hang in there!
I will be praying for Jacob. I hope he is not showing symptoms. I agree with you, this is no joke. It irritates me that people do not take this seriously. We have to protect our front line workers and our population at risk. Hugs to you momma, I know you worry!
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers are with you, Jacob and all of your lovely family. I love your blog today, the pictures of the poodles brought a smile to my day. Check Isaiah 41:10 today. Many blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteOh, dear--I'm so sorry to read this about Jacob, Vickie. I hope and pray he recovers quickly and that his wife doesn't get it. It's just so worrisome out there. I just stay home, but my husband still goes a couple places. He is very careful, but I still worry as we are 65. Will keep him in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour ornament is darling and I know they'll treasure it! I finally started my grandson's gingerbread man--should stitch up fairly quickly and then I need to have my husband go mail it for me. Sending a hug--I know it must be such a worry ♥
Sending prayers and hugs for your son Vickie. Congrats on the cute finish. Happy Birthday Henry.

Lifting Jacob up in prayer, Vickie. Henry is adorable; happy birthday to him.
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is so pretty and the cubby looks wonderful! But, I am so sorry to hear Jacob has the virus. The news said yesterday that most people that have it do not know where they got it! Of course, I will keep Jacob and all of you in my prayers!!
ReplyDeletePraying for Jacob, hopefully he's not too ill with the virus.
ReplyDeleteLove the cubby shelf, as ususal!
Thanks for including the snap of sweet Henry.
We have many friends testing positive and their families also. Very careful people got it, and a few reckless have not. Keep us updated on your son.
ReplyDeleteOh Vickie, of course I'll take Jacob with me in my prayer, I'll keep my fingers crossed for him that he can get through this virus. This shows that you can't be careful enough. I can imagine how big your worries are at the moment.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the cute sleigh with your poodles. And so you have them with you, even if the two are no longer there. They live on in your memory.
The two gingerbread men are also beautiful.

I will be praying for Jacob. I hope he gets well quickly. Love your poodle adaption. I just saw this am that WTNT facebook page is having a free stitchalong and thought of you as there were pinks in the selected colors. You might want to check it out.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Vickie, I'm so sorry to read about Jacob. I will be praying for him. And prayers and hugs for you too. It almost seems like people have given up taking any care at all about Covid. Very disheartening.
ReplyDeleteYour favorite piece is also mine - adorable, as is little Henry wearing his bowtie. Take care
Sorry to hear about Jacob, I do hope he gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe poodle sleigh is wonderful!
Hi Vickie. Hope your son gets better soon. I thank you for your comment on my blog. Hospital stays are no fun especially if you can't have any visitors. Lonely all day by yourself. don't want that again. big hugs Merry Christmas Lynda
ReplyDeleteSaying a prayer for Jacob and for all of you. It is a woory. I hope that he isn't too ill with it nor that he will suffer with 'long Covid'.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your son. Our children are our heart. When they hurt or are sick, we hurt for them. Stay safe, friend.
ReplyDeleteOh my, since I'm so behind on blog reading, I do hope Jacob is feeling much better by now. Although I'll still say prayers for him.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful month and I love how you added poodles instead of boring people. So nice to remember Murphy and Mabel.
A lovely first Christmas ornament for them, I like how you finished it.
