September Wreath

Hi friends! I finished stitching the September wreath for the cubby shelf. I really like the marigolds, don't you?
This was stitched one over one on 25ct white Zweigart Dublin linen with the called for DMC. This pattern can be found HERE.

I also got my September poodle designed. Now I will move on to stitching him!🐩
I cannot for the life of me remember which of my British stitching friends recommended Dangerous Crossing by Rachel Rhys. Was it you?? Please let me know! I read this book and it was good. It was not exactly what I was expecting.

We have been watching the old family videos we made starting 24 years ago when Jacob was first born. We watch them when we are all together, so it is going slowly. It is hard to get all five of us together at one time actually with work and school schedules. Brian and I sit glued to the screen practically. HA. The kids not as much. Um, the first two whole tapes are of Jacob only.😉Oh first time, young devoted parents!!!🤣

Madeleine begins university again on Monday. Summer is ending then isn't it? Hard for me to know, I still stay in mostly. I tested it, and even with the increased dosage of the Topamax, yes, the headaches soar if I stay out in the sun for any length of time, so I do not go out at all.

Thank you for your lovely comments last time and your birthday wishes for both Brian AND Murphy!😁

I have a giveaway going on for a LizzieKate pattern right now. See my last post for the giveaway.

I hope you have a lovely weekend my friends! Take good care of yourself,  there is only one you!❤️

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works  Hebrews 10:24

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

  1. Oh yes marigolds have beautiful flowers. And the wreath looks great.
Nice if you have movies of your own children, they are priceless memories. They are growing up so fast.
For my son, too, it is only slowly, he begins his studies for the first semester in October.
Afterwards still greetings for Brian and Murphy.
Oh - I still have to read your last post, I have not come to it because of all the work.
    Hugs, Martina

  4. Your September wreath finish is pretty, Vickie. Marigolds (and geraniums) remind me of my grandmother. Best wishes to Madeleine as she begins her new year of school. Enjoy your weekend!

  11. The September wreath is lovely.
All our home movies are on cine-film which my Mum refuses to get transferred to something we could actually watch them on "in case they get ruined". So no-one can watch them!

  12. The movies must be so much fun to watch. We have just a few and should turn them into a more watchable(is there such a word??) format. Your Sept. wreath is lovely. My DD is making these beautiful flowers with special paper. She is working on a marigold.

  14. Summer is ending, summer is ending~ Woooooo! Your marigolds look great and they always feel like a fallish sort of flower to me.

I feel like I'd cringe watching any movies of me when I was little ahaha. I'm sure it's nice for family to have the memories though.

  16. I love your wreath, Vickie! There is something so cheery about those colors - I missed not having any marigolds this summer. Isn't it fun to watch old family videos? My husband and I enjoy them but as you say the kids not as much. : ) I'm so sorry that you are still experiencing the headaches - you are in my prayers daily. Wishing Madeleine the best this school year.

Lovely punchneedle, I hope your friends are both doing as well as they can.
    Pretty wreath for September
I've read Dangerous Crossing Vickie, maybe you saw it on my blog?
I've just written to a blogging friend and we talked about not sending emails and the joy of receiving a letter in the mail.

  20. The marigold wreath is just perfect for the month of September, Vickie!

Oh, I love watching old family videos--but they always make me a bit sad. The boys grew up so fast and I sometimes miss those days :) Sadly, we have no videos of our oldest as a baby because we didn't get our video camera until he was almost four! So, your Jacob is lucky :)

  24. I love your marigold wreath, so pretty and I look forward to your charming poodles. We have old 8mm movies, no sound, and it's so much fun to watch them.

I hope you are able to spend some time outdoors in the fall, maybe early evening when its cooler and the sun is not as strong.
