🍎

Hi friends! Here is an update photo on how far I have gotten on Forever Be My Always by Emma Congdon.
I now have this tucked away, and have pulled out the next sampler chart by Blackbird Designs in the Anniversaries of the Heart series, which is A Wish For You. This one I am dedicating to my mom. I have been having fun (yeah right!) finding correct colors for the flosses, since many of them do not look anything like the ones on the cover photo. Also I am once again changing things just a bit.

Madeleine came home a few days ago from her university art class with a needle felted McIntosh apple she made me. 😊 This is my favorite kind of apple.
I have been looking through my stash and found some charts to giveaway. I will have one to giveaway next time.

Well I hope this weekend is a lovely one for you. Thank you for stopping by and saying hi!

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

  17. Good morning. The apple is fantastic. How is Emerson progressing with his Woodpecker? Hope you are feeling better.

Still working on book two of Maisie Dobbs. I only read at bedtime so it will take me awhile.

  18. Love that apple! Love your stitching progress too. So weird about how poorly the "called for" DMC doesn't match the picture. I will say that the variegated floss has the same problem though -- major dye lot problems. That's according to my experience.

  20. You are coming along so nicely on your stitching project. Is this chart from a magazine or from on line? I might have to stitch this one, the more I see, the more I like.

Oh, and I wanted to ask you about the Classic Colorworks Floss of Blue Beatrice, is it that blue in person or is it more of a darker color?

I hear you on the flosses don't always match the picture. Which just drives me crazy(er)! :)

Wishing you a lovely day filled with many blessings sweet friend. :)

  22. What a cute apple! Isn't it frustrating when the colors on the picture are so far from the ones on the chart!!

  23. Love your stitching as I always do. You're almost finished the pattern don't you? So sweet Madeline felted your favorite apple, it's lovely. Do you keep it on your fruit bowl?
Your children are talented needleworkers, did you inspire them?
    Enjoy your sunday, love Nienke

  24. Good Morning Vickie,

I am just now catching up on blog reading...and your Always Sampler is looking beautiful! Honestly...the more of this sampler I see...the more I love it! The colors are so pretty together and of course the saying always touches my sentimental heart!

The apple that Madeleine made is really beautiful! What a treasure that is for you! Anything that my children still make for me are treasures indeed!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday my friend! I will be looking forward to seeing your color changes on your next Anniversaries of the Heart! You always have great ideas!
