Here In Poodletown

Hi friends! I wasted no time in stitching up the free February pattern by Palko, that you can find HERE.
I stitched this one over one on 25ct white evenweave, using DMC 48(a gift from Annette).

I  finished up a sweet Valentine pattern now. Then I will get back to the January SAL from Snowflower Diaries.

I received a gift of three more pink fabrics from Jenny. I also received two very special items from her. Do you see the small wooden heart? And that is a pink and white bracelet from Jenny also. I am going to write a little something on that heart for Jenny. She is collecting them. They are little hearts of encouragement. Jenny has breast cancer. If you want to know Jenny, take a look HERE and learn more about her. :)
God bless you Jenny!

I saw the spine orthopedic surgeon on Monday. I have degenerative disc disease at C5/C6 (the neck). This would explain the pinched nerve there and the pain. He said I am not a candidate for surgery.(That is fine with me!) He suggested an epidural injection. So I saw my pain management doctor Wednesday. I will get an epidural injection in two and a half weeks.

Stitching and praying,
Vickie

Well, at least you have an answer to the pain puzzle. Hope the injections work. Is that something you would have to do periodically?

  20. What a lovely finish you made in the typecast. Today I also finished the same pattern, isn't that nice. I used a different color so the effect is totaly different than yours. It's always nice to see what difference color makes.
I am sorry to hear from your backpain. I hope your pain is over when you got the injection. Have a nice weekend, greets, Nienke

  28. Lovely stitching as always. Especially love the February one in last post. As I've said I have neck pain from time to time so this is a topic that interests me. As a teacher I spent a lot of my day with head bent over desks and now with my stitching, my head is bent forward quite a bit. I just looked up some exercises to help with it. So good luck with the injection. Thank you for sharing; I will follow with interest.

  29. Hello Vickie -

Put off surgery as long as possible. My husband has suffered with disc issue for over 20 years. He had surgery is 96 and it has only gotten worse. Next step for him is fusion but we are waiting as long as possible.

I will be praying for your.

  30. A darling February finish for your cubby, Vickie--it is filling up quickly!! Are you going to keep up the monthly stitching all year for it?

I'm glad you have an answer--certainly hope and pray the shots can help! I'm so glad you don't have to undergo surgery--I've heard of so, so many who feel even worse pain after having those back/neck operations.
